- Input range and conversion: The logarithmic power detector can detect RF signal power from -55 dBm to 0 dBm and converts the RF signal to a DC voltage output. - Chip basis: Built around the AD8317 chip, this detector is designed to detect RF signal power. - Dynamic range and response: Dynamic range up to 55 dB. The output voltage increases with input power and is directly proportional to the logarithm of the input signal amplitude, extending the detectable range to 55 dB. - Applications and use scenarios: - PA setpoint control and level monitoring for RF transmitters. - Power monitoring in wireless line transmitters. - RSSI measurements in base stations, WLAN, WiMAX, and other wireless systems.
