Magnetic tool for setting planer knives Holzmann MEL2 The MEL2 Holzmann magnetic tool for setting planer knives is used for precise adjustment of planer knives. Ideally suited for all knife shaft diameters. The MEL2 magnetic instrument is very fast and easy to use, without having to disassemble the shaft. It has a very accurate scale, allowing you to precisely set the height of the knife on the shaft. In the cassette there are 2 magnetic instruments for setting knives in the planer. Instructions for setting knives for planers: Place the magnetic instrument anywhere on the shaft. Set the planned height of the knife. Screw the scale locking screw. Loosen the knife bolts. Transfer the dimension set on the instrument to the center of the knife so that the magnets attract the knife and the magnetized feet adhere to the shaft. After setting, screw the knife, bearing in mind that the screws of the knives are screwed from the inside to the outside.
