ABEC is a set of tolerance standards for the production of ball bearings. They were developed by the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA). Five tolerance classes have been distinguished: 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 (from the largest to the smallest tolerance). This means that the higher the number, the more accurate the bearing is.
